When we follow religion out of fear then that is lowest mode of devotion, that is mode of ignorance. When we follow religion for power, prestige, show off or as competition, that is devotion in mode of passion which is better than the earlier one. When we follow religion as a matter of duty, that’s mode of Goodness which is best of all modes. But still all these modes are at material platform. When we follow religion out of love of Godhead than that is true and highest religion and that is transcendental devotion which beyond any material modes. 🙏
